Annual General Meeting for Barrie Minor Lacrosse

October 10th, 7:30pm

Timothy Christian School

750 Essa Road, Barrie

All adult members of the Barrie Minor Lacrosse Association are invited to attend our Annual General Meeting.  If you had a child play this year, you are eligible to attend and vote on any proposed changes to our constitution and by-laws, vote and/or run for available Executive positions.

If any changes are proposed to the Constitution, they will be posted to the BMLA website under the AGM news item as soon as they have received the necessary approvals.  If a member would like to make an amendment, please email Andrew Prestwich, president@barrieminorlacrosse.com for information.

This year, the following positions will be voted on, if you are interested in running for one of these positions, please contact Aimee Chalmers (info@barrieminorlacrosse.com) to ensure you are on the nomination list.

VP League Development - Incumbent will run again for this position

VP House League - Looking for a new volunteer for this position

VP Equipment - Incumbent will run again for this position

VP Sponsorship - Looking for a new volunteer for this position
Treasurer - Incumbent will run again for this position

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The VP House League position is a critical one.  The board strongly believes that without a strong house league program we will have a difficult time building our rep program up to where everyone wants it.  The position is ideal for someone with strong planning and organizational skills.  Lacrosse experience is not required.  Questions can be directed to: president@barrieminorlacrosse.com

Thank You,

Come celebrate with us!

Annual BMLA Rep Banquet

All levels – field and box teams

July 30, 2019 from 6-8pm

Springwater Park, Hwy 26, Midhurst

All rep players are invited to join us along with their fellow team mates, coaching staff and families.

Live MC, fun, food, awards and a celebration of the game of lacrosse!

Dinner provided to the teams. Teams will be preordering a hot dog or hamburger and will pick out their ticket at the event.   Your coach/manager will be collecting this information.

Families are welcome to pre-purchase BBQ items (available for purchase from Fran Tuesday July 16 from 6:30-8 at Holly).

Players are asked to wear their team warm up gear or golf shirt and khakis – coaches discretion.

Please note parking for families is included. Follow the signs and volunteer direction. This is an outdoor event – we are within a 400 seated covered pavilion with assigned team seating, but please do come prepared for weather and perhaps bugs. Parents are required to stay for the event due to bodies of water, number in attendance and the span of the park requiring supervision.

This is a great opportunity for the players to mingle and coaching staff to visit socially with families. It is a celebration of the years success and BMLA teamwork!

For information, player dietary restrictions or to volunteer the day of with set up or take down please contact
